Las Vegas drivers: $1600 to $1700 a week on a dedicated account home twice a week.

Early-morning store deliveries on regional lanes between Las Vegas Phoenix San Diego and Utah. Paid on all loaded miles. New CDL grads are trained.

What you earn

• Paid every week during training
• $1600 to $1700 average per week
• $0.60 to $0.62 a mile by experience paid on all loaded miles
• About 1800 miles a week
• $100 unload pay per load $25 per stop
• Weekly direct deposit

Your week

Store deliveries mostly roll carts plus some loose boxes. Unloads take 1 to 2 hours per stop. Home twice a week and for your 34-hour reset. Weekend deliveries are rare.

What happens after you apply

A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered your bus ticket is reimbursed and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing logs fueling and trip planning and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready you get your own assigned truck about 1.5 years old on average.

What you need

• Class A CDL from your state of residence 21 or older
• New CDL grad with 120 school hours or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
